      Follow 'Te Ara Ahi' through 'Hemo Gorge' towards Waipa Carpark.
      From here follow the the Forest Loop towards Whaka Lower lookout, enjoy this
      beautiful lookout over the volcanic parks Te Puia and The Living Māori Village.
      Continue your way back by following the Forest Loop until Nursery Rd.
      Follow the trail back to the The Living Māori Village and our rental site.

      Enjoy an easy gravel ride toward the Puarenga Trail and back through the Whakarewarewa Forest. Extend this trail by riding the Mokopuna Trail on your way back at the Redwoods I-site.

      40 km | 3 - 5 hours | Easy single track


      Looking for an easy day ride? Then the Forest Loop is a good option.

      This loop is a link of different grade 2 trails and offers beautiful views of Lake Rotorua, Blue and Green Lake.

      There are a few nice coffee- and food stops along the way. 

      With our E-bikes the forest loop is suitable from beginners to riders that simply want to enjoy the beauty of Rotorua’s Forest.

      Forest loop return via Te Poaka

      21 km | 2 - 3.5 hours | Grade 2/3


      Start your ride with the Forest Loop as a warming-up. 
      When you are on the other side of the forest, follow the gentle climb 'Apumoanu' up to the top of Indirect Road.

      Continue your ride on the Grade 3's 'Te Poaka' and 'Be Rude Not To'.
      Here you have the option to extend your ride or return back to our rental site

      22 km | 2 - 3.5 hours | Grade 3


      Find your flow on this 22km ride.

      Warm-up on the trails 'Paddy's Run' and 'Tickler' before making your way to the newly redone trail 'Whaki'. This trail finishes at the new 'Tawa Hub' where you can have a break and a snack before starting the gentle climb up 'Apumoana'.

      Now it is time to test your flow on the popular grade 3 'Te Poaka'. 
      From here you can ride 'Be Rude not To' or 'Dragon's Tail' and slowly make you way back to the start.

      30 km | 3,5 - 5 hours | Grade 3/4


      Looking for the ultimate mixture of Rotorua's MTB trails? This is the one for you.

      From our rental site you will make your way towards the trail 'Billy T', on this trail you will find some technical rooty sections at the top and fast flow at the bottom.
      Continue your ride to the top of 'Split Enz'. where you can enjoy this magnificent view before heading down the 5km flowy downhill. 

      Resume your ride on 'Rollercoaster' before entering the ultimate E-bike trail 'Old Chevy'. On this trail the E-bike is your friend with some steep pinches and fast downhill sections.

      From here you can make your way back to the rental site with some nice trails along the way.

      40 km | 3 - 5 hours | Grade 2/3


      The forest loop via Taura is a great alternative for those that want to finish the ride through the forest and ride more trails.

      The Forest Loop is a link of different grade 2 trails and offers beautiful views of Lake Rotorua, Blue and Green Lake.
      There are a few nice coffee- and food stops along the way. 

      Instead of following the Te Ara Ahi Trail along the highway, this route sends you back through the forest over the grade 3 Taura.

      Te Ara Ahi is a leisurely journey through Rotorua’s volcanic wonderland of steaming vents, bubbling mud pools and spectacular geysers.
      Stretching between Rotorua and the Waikite Valley, this cycle trail links five significant geothermal parks – Whakarewarewa, Te Puia, Waimangu, Wai-O-Tapu and Waikite Valley Thermal Springs – each with its own unique natural wonders.

      *The trail is 48km one way, divided into two sections, best ridden as a two-day adventure, but can be ridden partially.
