Enduro Bearings are available in different qualities, depending on the model. We stock a selection of sizes based on the bikes we stock or used to stock. If you are after a different size or quality level please use the contact form and we can help you out as well.
ABEC3
This ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls, LLB seals and 90% fill with high pressure water proof grease to withstand daily abuse of use and the elements.
ABEC5
This ABEC-5 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls, dual-lip, full-contact LLU seals facing outwards to withstand daily abuse of use and the elements, and lighter-contact LLB seals facing inwards to contain the 90% fill with high pressure water proof grease. CN clearance specification is best for looser press-fit bearing bores.
BLACK OXIDE
Angular-contact headset bearing featuring anti-corrosion Black oxide/Magnetite coated 52100 High-Carbon Chromium alloy races paired with grade 10 Balls. Black Oxide coating provides an extra level of corrosion resistance and extended worry-free performance
CERAMIC HYBRID
ABEC-5, Ceramic-hybrid bearing featuring 52100 High-Carbon Chromium alloy races paired with grade 5 Silicon-Nitride Ceramic balls with 90% fill, high-pressure, water-proof grease. Si3N4 Ceramic balls reduce bearing wear and increase bearing life by eliminating steel on steel contact within the bearing.
STAINLESS STEEL
This radial bearing features 440C stainless steel alloy races and Grade 10 balls with LLB seals and 90% fill with high pressure water proof grease to withstand daily abuse of use and the elements. This size bearing is generally used as a hub bearing for some quick-release hub designs and can be used as a pivot bearing though the MAX-type version of this bearing is better suited for suspension use.
MAX-Design, radial suspension bearing
Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings over 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings by employing with a special design where the maximum number of balls (full-complement) are inserted into the bearing, via a custom ground slot in the races. The race grooves are also deeper on these bearings to provide increased lateral support to counteract the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This MAX-type, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals for maximum protection against the elements, while keeping the 90% fill of Almagard extra high pressure grease inside and Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating provides an extra level of corrosion resistance and extended worry-free performance.
