If a hiking boot would turn into an e-mountain bike, it would be as our new THRON. Everything about this bike is designed to go new places, to effortlessly reach new heights with you.

GREAT COMFORT

The THRON 7 guarantees great comfort on long trail rides. The suspension with a specific THRON tune effortlessly irons out bumps, while long chainstays provide optimal traction uphill. You can find our recommendations for the perfect damper set-up in the FAQ on the THRON overview page.

ULTIMATE GRIP AND COMFORT

The suspension of the THRON is fully optimised for long rides through the mountains. As if on a magic carpet, the suspension simply absorbs all the bumps on your way down. Predictable and smooth suspension.

BRAKES

All THRON models have 4-piston brakes and 203 mm disc brakes, and therefore plenty of braking power.

E-MTB FOR ENDLESS TRAILS

Four possible battery sizes of up to 1050 Wh – in all frame sizes. For your THRON, you can choose between the compact 720 Wh battery or the larger 800 Wh battery. In combination with the PowerMore 250 Wh range extender, maximum flexibility is ensured. Therefore, the THRON can effortlessly reach new heights without running out of power.

 

PROVEN AND RELIABLE POWER FROM BOSCH

The fifth generation of the Bosch Performance Line CX motor is as reliable as ever – maybe even more so. You probably already know pretty well what to expect from this electric motor. You can count on the Bosch Performance Line CX in every situation. This ensures that nothing, not even rattling noises on the trails, stand in the way of you having fun when riding the THRON on long rides.

 

CHARGING POINT

The specially designed cover of the charging port on the seat tube does not flap about, but snaps into place when turned to the side while the range extender is in use. But that’s not all: Both the specially designed motor nut and the cadence sensor placed in the rim are subtle, completely invisible from the outside.

 

PREMIUM LOOK AND FEEL

The THRON has a chic carbon look thanks to its polished and smoothed weld seams. Additional features are the semi-integrated rear shock and the C.I.S. 2.0 stem with integrated cable routing. The premium look of the THRON is also emphasised by a metallic paintwork with a painted main link.

 

ROBUST CHAINSTAY GUARD AND COVERS

We have also paid attention to all the small but important details. The particularly thick, screw-on chainstay protector makes the bike quieter than ever. The electric motor cover is especially robust. Moreover, the THRON has so much ground clearance that our bike testers had difficulty finding steps big enough to test it to its limits.

 

GPS TRACKER

The integrated Apple Airtag or Chipolo holder under the lockable battery are also smart. What's more, the Bosch ConnectModule has its dedicated space in the motor cover. It is available as an add-on in specialist shops. With a paid subscription, you can use the module to access all additional premium services offered by Bosch, such as improved theft protection, tracking, alarm, or theft reports in case of an emergency.

Why can I not order this bike through the webshop?

We aim to provide you with the best service in finding the right E-bike. As a result, we don't directly sell our bikes from our online store. However, we do provide delivery of E-bikes nationwide. Please contact our team using the form above to get in touch, +64 7 460 0844.

Can I test-ride this E-bike?

Feel free to visit our shop at 1280 Fenton Street, Rotorua and take the bike for a test ride around the block. Please remember to bring some photo ID, as it is required before taking the bike out. The test ride should be limited to the town area and should not include off-road or forest riding. Check with our team before your visit to see if the bike is in stock and available for test riding.

What is the battery range on this E-bike? 

Determining the exact range of your E-bike is not straightforward, as it depends on various factors such as the total load, the terrain, temperature, battery size, and motor unit. Some motor brands provide a range indication or provide a tool, like the Bosch Range Calculator.

Are there any services included in the bike sale?

We offer an in-house complimentary first check for all bikes purchased at Electric Bike Rotorua. The first check is done at 6 weeks (after the bike purchase) or 250km, whichever comes first.
