Assist modes
On an E-bike you are in full control, whether you are training to get fitter or you want a leisurely ride, you decide!
In New Zealand, the Bosch E-bikes will assist up to 32 km/h or 45 km/h depending on the motor installed on your E-bike.
The different assistance modes are designed for the type of E-bike and style of riding.
The assist modes available on your E-bike are dependant on the motor system installed on your E-bike.
Assistance modes for Bosch System 2
We can select 4 different riding modes for your E-bike in-store.
off
No pedal support
ECO
Low level support with maximum efficiency for the greatest range. This mode offers 50% additional assistance on top of your input.
TOUR
Consistent support for long rides. Tour mode offers an additional 120% of power
*TOUR+
Smooth incremental support for energy-saving riding and a natural riding sensation for sporty rides
Sport/emtb*
Powerful support for universal usage for both sporty riding and fast commuting in urban traffic or optimal control when eMTB riding.
This mode, also called 'smart mode' delivers 120% to 300% additional power.
Turbo
Direct, maximum power support up to the highest cadences for sporty riding.
Turbo delivers 300% additional power.
*Availability on the Tour+ and EMTB modes is dependant on the model year of the motor system and type of motor.

With the Bosch Smart System, you can decide the different support levels, dynamics, maximum torque and speed.
Download the eBike Flow app and simply start adjusting to your individual needs.
You can select 4 different modes at a time.
AUTO
Automatic adjustment of support in response to a drop in speed, due to climbs or sudden headwinds.

Maximum support for Cargo bikes with up to 400% of your own pedal power and optimum start-up behavior, even when carrying a full load.

Available mode with the Performance Line Sprint
sprint
Dynamic support with increasing cadence – for sprints and steep climbs.

The total range on your E-bike depends on a lot of variants like the total load, the terrain you're riding, temperature and of course battery size and motor unit.
Bosch has a great online tool to calculate the range of your E-bike.
